You can make the following settings in the menu under "Settings > System > Display":
If you want the Navigator display to automatically adjust to the ambient brightness, activate the "Auto brightness" option.
If you want to set the display brightness to a fixed value, deactivate the "Auto brightness" option and select the brightness level yourself. Now the ambient brightness is ignored.
