Installing the volume extension is very quick and easy. Follow these steps to attach the volume extension to the aluminium cases of the R 1300 GS Adventure:
Open the lid of the aluminium case and remove the securing band from the lid.
Press the latch upwards and detach the lid of the aluminium case.
Remove the lid of the aluminium case, please place the volume extension on the aluminium case.
Slide the latches on the left and right to lock the volume extension into place on the aluminium case. After successful locking, the red marking is no longer visible!
Press the latch on the lid of the aluminium case upwards and hook the lid into the hinge on the volume extension.
Attach the securing band from the lid to the volume extension.
The volume extension for the aluminium cases increases the capacity of the aluminium cases on the left and right by 10 litres each. Thanks to the BMW locking system, the volume extension is firmly and securely connected to the aluminium cases. The maximum permitted speed limit is 180 km/h.
